Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Testing (Full or Part Time)
This is a full-time or part-time on-site role for a Licensed Psychologist (Testing) at Graceful Therapy, PLLC in Oswego, IL. The psychologist will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, providing counseling, and offering mental health services, primarily to child and adolescent clients.
Qualifications
Required:

Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program

Current licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in Illinois

Extensive training and experience in psychological assessment of children and adolescents, including cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, and socio-emotional functioning
-
Proficiency in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of a broad range of standardized psychological instruments (e.g., WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WIAT-4, BASC-3, ADOS-2, NEPSY-II)
-
Strong clinical writing skills with a proven ability to produce comprehensive, clear, and clinically useful psychological reports

Familiarity with DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria and evidence-based conceptualization of developmental, emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders
-
Minimum of 2 years postdoctoral experience in child/adolescent assessment (can include supervised experience)

Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage caseloads and meet reporting deadlines
Preferred:

Specialized training or experience in neuropsychological assessment, autism spectrum disorder evaluations, or learning disability evaluations

Experience working with diverse populations, including children from multicultural and multilingual backgrounds

Prior work in school, pediatric, or multidisciplinary settings

Familiarity with IEP processes, school-based services, and collaboration with educators and related service providers

Competency in using electronic health records (EHR) and psychological testing software platforms

Experience in supervising pre-licensed clinical psychologists

Clinical Therapy Internship
Our clinical therapy internship provides practical, hands-on experience in the field of mental health and counseling. A clinical therapy internship offers valuable real-world experience and is a crucial step for those pursuing a career in mental health or counseling. It provides interns with a comprehensive understanding of clinical practice and prepares them for future roles in the field. Here’s a detailed description of what such an internship typically involves:
Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction:

Average of 15 Clients assigned to a caseload

Conduct intake interviews and gather client history.

Observe and, under supervision, participate in client assessments and therapy sessions

Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans.

Clinical Documentation:

Learn to create and maintain detailed and confidential client records.

Document session notes, treatment progress, and any significant changes in clients’ conditions.

Supervision and Training:

Receive regular supervision from licensed therapists
-
Participate in training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.

Therapeutic Techniques:

Requirements are:

Intern must be currently enrolled in a Masters program in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related.

Intern must have completed (or be enrolled to complete prior to start of internship) coursework in psychopathology and diagnosis, in addition to at least one or more counseling techniques courses.

This internship is best suited for students who have already completed one internship.

Availability to see clients in a combination of evening, weekend, and weekday hours, as well as availability to attend monthly Team meetings and regularly scheduled supervision meetings.

Equity Intern Position
At Graceful Therapy, we're deeply committed to enhancing access to mental health care within Black/African Ancestry communities. Currently, only a small fraction of mental health professionals are from Black/African Ancestry communities, highlighting the critical necessity for a more inclusive approach. Recognizing the urgent need to diversify the mental health workforce, we're inspired to create more opportunities to bridge this gap. Therefore, we are offering a paid internship to one graduate student per year. This intern should be enrolled in a Master’s program in Clinical Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields. This position will last 3-6 Months, aligning with the school terms the student is enrolled in their Masters level practicum or internship course
Compensation:
This is a paid internship position, with a competitive hourly rate of $20 per client hour.
