Doc's perspective: “I believe that change happens through relationship. I acknowledge the bravery it takes to seek out a clinician and hope to honor your voice. I use a strength-based and collaborative approach to foster relationships with my clients. I will work alongside you to explore your goals through an intersectional lens. My work is grounded in Black Feminist theory. My style is holistic and informed by an integrative approach to therapy. Applying Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered theories. I have experience working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, sexuality, gender identity, and life transitions. I attempt to create safe spaces for the queer spectrum, women of color and other diminished voices. I am also passionate about addressing relationship issues and cultural issues in session.
